So I currently work in the PT clinic which, formerly, has never had a full time ATC (only full time currently due to COVID). It has definitely been eye opening how little other healthcare professionals know about our background, training, education, etc. I thought of you all today and dropped some knowledge bombs when a co-worker (PTA) didn't know the difference between an ATC and personal trainer. She, as well as her patient, were in general shock and it felt so good to educate and enlighten others about our formal education, clinical training, and what we do. Thanks for pushing all of us to be better, speak out, and truly make a difference for our profession!
